Agrik

8th of Agrazhar is the Feast of Balefire.

8th of each month is the ceremony of the low disciplines of the Balefire, this is a lay mass. Human sacrifice is a common feature, during some form of ritual combat.


There are other masses, but they are not public and are far more sinster. In more populated areas these also have The Pamesani Games to follow. The games are simply a brutal spectacle of gladiators and some captives..

Halea

1st - 7th of Halane, a seven day long festival of fun, known as the Banquet of Delights. It starts on the first of Halane and ends midnight on the 7th. everybody is invited to enjoy the plays and other 'events' put on by the Haleans.

7th of each month Haleans have a festival.

Ilvir

15th of Ilvin, marking the day when the passage into the next life occurs for the souls of the faithful to Ilvir. It is the day when Ilvir allows the souls he has judged in the past year to be reborn. A massive celebration is held in the honors of the deceased, with stories and legends passed around about Ilvirans past and present, as well as welcomes given to new Ilvirans.

1st of Nuzyael, Nolus, Azura, and Ilvin. These holidays are meant to honor the passage of time and the Great Cycle, hence their positioning on each season's cusp. A gathering is held each time, and the nature of the celebration, happy or sad, is proclaimed.

Larani

17th of Larane is St. Ambrathas Day.

15 to 17 Larane is the Feast of St. Ambrathas.

5th, 15th, and 25th of each month is the Soratir, a lay mass.

2nd, 7th, 12th, 17th, 22nd, and 27th of each month is the Alamirata, the high mass.

2nd Peonu is St. Valamin's day.

2nd Agrazhar is St. Orthas' day.

17th Halane is Mendiz the Lion's day.

Naveh

30th of Navek, Night of Shadows, which starts at midnight.

Peoni

4th of Peonu, the Restoration Festival. This symbolizes renewal of life after the cold winter.

4th of Azura, the Harvest Home Festival which is a celebration to bless the years harvest, this is a giant feast and general party that begins after 4 days of prayer.

4th, 12th, 20th, and 28th of each month, the Lesser Sapeleh, (a lay mass)

14th to the 17th of each month, the Greater Sapeleh, (a high mass only for clergy) this is a purification rite in which the clergy must seclude themselves as much as possible, and pray. A special purification ceremony is held during the greater sapeleh, at the beginning of each season. This is known as the Turning, as in the season. They are to change robe colors according to season.

Sarajin

20th of each month is mass.

10th to 12th of Kelen, Ibengaad Festival, the real festival is held at Molina in Ivina where several hundreds of pilgrims went for the festivities. Events are held for one day and one night of feasting and drinking, one day of semi-ritual combat and one day of prayer and recovering, These combats involves several fatalities and those who die are deemed to go straight to Talagaad. Although the Ibengaad Festival is properly held only at the mountain of Mount Ibengaad (in Molina) the three days are usually celebrated in some form by Sarajinians in some form where ever they might be.

17th to the 25th of Kelen, Bjarri’s Feast. This is really a series of seven feasts during which eddas (mythological sagas) and tales are recited and sung in the praise of Sarajin. These feasts are generally hosted by clerical clans with donations from their local congregations. They are as lavish as possible, with features including ritual combats, that might be fatal.

Save-K'nor

7th, 13th, 19th, and 25th of each month, Forum. The meeting is two hours long, consisting of two lectures, plays, performances, etc. The first is usually done by the local presiding priest, and if possible the priest will invite other priests (usually as a favor for friends) to speak for the second hour. These are separated by a drinking of blessed water. Any person is welcome to attend a forum, they are held in Temples where available, or any other meeting hall will suffice.

1st of each month, Symposium. These are held only in the temples. Any follower of Save-K'nor is welcome, as well as other by invitation. (Most sages, scribes, etc. have standing invitations.) The meeting is a 4 hour version of the Forum. The presiding High priest will present the first hour, followed by 3 other speakers / performers. Each hour the audience partakes of blessed water.

Morgat 1st-7th, Colloquium. The annual meeting of all the Shea-Al-Aecor at a secret location to 'discuss the unspeakable mysteries'. All other Priests of Save-K'nor are expected to spend an extra 15 minutes in meditation and petition that their leaders are granted insight each day of the meeting.

30th Peonu, Concordium. The annual celebration of the signing of the Concordat, and the event of Save-K'nor becoming the 'Keeper of the Var-Hyvrak.' This ceremony is usually observed by High Priest's reviewing and auditing the other religions in their area. Usually a 24 hour presence of a K'norran priest is present at each temple of each god. (Some are more grudging then others-priest's sent to audit the temples of Naveh frequently do not return.) This is also occasion for most Church-approved governments to 'renew their ratification' with various simple ceremonies.

15th of each month (the full moon), fasts. To observe a fast the follower must abstain from any food from Midnight to Midnight. The fast is disregarded unless it also includes 2 meditative ponerances, journal keeping, purification rituals, as well as at least 1 hour of research. Although they have different names, each fast is effectively the same.
